What is the difference between .uk and .co.uk?
Both give your address a UK identity. A direct .uk address is shorter; .co.uk is a familiar choice for a business. They are separate names, so compare availability, how each address sounds and the cost of keeping any additional registration.
Can I use .uk if my .co.uk name is already taken?
Check the .uk name separately. Availability does not establish a right to someone else’s brand. Before choosing the matching name, check whether it could confuse customers looking for an existing organisation.
